Stevenson To Visit Innovative Portsoy Food Company

SNP candidate for Banffshire & Buchan Coast Stewart Stevenson and local councillor Ian Gray will visit Gourmet’s Choice Limited, Harbour Head, Shore Street, Portsoy, Banffshire on Friday 15 April at 10.30am.

Gourmet’s Choice is a producer of fine smoked salmon which is exported from Portsoy to around the world. The company’s award-winning salmon is smoked using methods passed down through the same family for 100 years.

In 2009, the company gained the International Business of the Year Award at the Scottish Food & Drink Excellence Awards.

Commenting in advance of his visit, Stewart Stevenson said:

“I’m very much looking forward to a return visit to Gourmet’s Choice and hearing from the team there about their latest innovations and product lines. It’s great to see a long-established local company like this exporting from Banffshire to the world.”
