SNP Campaigning Hard In Fraserburgh As Local Branch Opens Election Office

SNP candidate for Banffshire & Buchan Coast Stewart Stevenson officially opened Fraserburgh Branch SNP’s campaign rooms this week.

The rooms, located at 60 Cross Street in Fraserburgh, will provide a campaigning base for local members and supporters during the election period as the SNP takes its positive message to the electors.

Speaking in Fraserburgh, Stewart Stevenson said:

“I’m delighted with the response we have been receiving in Fraserburgh and these campaign rooms will allow us to operate from a base in the town while our local members, supporters and activists take our message to the electorate.

“It used to be something of an election tradition that the candidates would open up a local base in the town and have a visible presence during election campaigns but it seems that the SNP is now the only party which does this locally.

“I’ve been out and about in Fraserburgh, Inverallochy, Cairnbulg, St Combs, Rosehearty and New Aberdour meeting voters and delivering the SNP’s message and I’ve been struck by just how much people have appreciated the freezing of the council tax in particular.

“It seems to be much more important to people than even I had imagined, which is not surprising at this time of economic uncertainty when family budgets are under pressure. I’m immensely proud at having been part of the first ever SNP Government which has delivered real and tangible support for local families.”
