The SNP campaign locally moved up a gear when Party President Ian Hudghton and First Minister Alex Salmond joined local MP Eilidh Whiteford on the campaign trail for Stewart Stevenson at the weekend.
The SNP team was out in Boddam on Saturday taking the message of the SNP Government’s achievements round the doors to the electors. The team then joined First Minister Alex Salmond at the Cruden Branch SNP’s Spring Fair at Longhaven Hall.
SNP candidate for Banffshire & Buchan Coast Stewart Stevenson said:
“I was delighted with the warm reception I received in Boddam at the weekend. It is clear that the SNP Government’s policies, such as ensuring the council tax has stayed frozen for the past four years, are proving very popular.
“It was slightly strange to think of Boddam as the outer edge of the constituency but with the new boundaries, Boddam is indeed the furthest south that Banffshire & Buchan Coast reaches, starting as it now does in Buckpool in the west.
“I look forward to visiting many more local communities in the days and weeks ahead taking the SNP’s positive vision to the electors.”
