The SNP have highlighted the fact that every part of the Banffshire & Buchan Coast Constituency is represented by SNP Councillors, with two on Moray Council and seven on Aberdeenshire Council.
They are local face of SNP support for democracy in every community. Mr Stevenson was joined on a campaign visit to Rothiemay by local Moray councillor Gary Coull, neighbouring Aberdeenshire councillor Joanna Strathdee and local activists.
Speaking about SNP Councillors' contribution during the visit to Rothiemay, SNP Scottish Parliamentary candidate for Banffshire and Buchan Coast, Stewart Stevenson said:
"It is clear that underpinning the success of the SNP in the new constituency is a strong SNP team of Councillors providing local access for every single elector. They complement SNP Members of Parliament Eilidh Whiteford (Banff & Buchan) and Angus Robertson (Moray) who represent the area at Westminster.
"During the campaign I have very much welcomed the support they have given my team. This mirrors the day to day engagement each and every one of our Councillors has with their constituents throughout the year.
"In the seven Council wards in the new constituency, the Conservatives have representatives in only two wards, the Liberal Democrats in one while Labour have no Councillors.
"What makes a real difference to electors is having local representatives, at every level of government, fighting for them and their issues. It is a privilege to work with my SNP Council colleagues who deliver so much in every ward in the Constituency."
