Stevenson Urges Both Votes SNP And Warns, "It's Not Over Yet"

At 7 a.m. on Thursday, 5th May, voters across Scotland will have the chance to re-elect an SNP Government lead by the widely endorsed Alex Salmond.

In a 15 hour period the course of Scotland for the next five years will be set by decisions made in the voting booth.

The final poll before the election shows that the SNP's message of hope and aspiration has chimed all over the country. STV's poll would indicate that Scotland is set to elect 61 SNP members, 33 Labour, 18 Conservative, 9 Liberal Democrat and 9 others.

Commenting on eve of poll, Banffshire and Buchan Coast SNP Candidate Stewart Stevenson said,

"The stakes have never been higher and it's vital that people who want to see a secure future for Scotland in difficult times, use both votes for the SNP.

"Firstly to vote for me to enable me to continue to serve people in the North East and support the SNP Government.

"Secondly to vote for Alex Salmond for First Minister, to ensure that the outstanding leader for a generation is unambiguously endorsed."

Speaking on the STV poll, Stewart said,

"The poll results reflect our canvassing and predict an historic result for Scotland.

"The weather forecast for polling day is set fair and the political outlook is encouraging. But it's not over yet and it's vital that everyone gets out to use both votes for an SNP Government."
