The report ranks SNP proposals as better than Labour, Tories, Lib Dems or the Greens.
The Age Scotland report highlights proposals to develop a national strategy to tackle social isolation, to increase NHS spending and to bring broader community health services, such as mental health services, into GP's practices.
Age Scotland also highlighted plans to equalise Carers’ Allowance with Jobseekers’ Allowance and to offer all tenants in the social rented sector guidance on housing options as positives.
SNP Cabinet Secretary for Pensioners’ Rights Alex Neil said:
“We are delighted that Age Scotland have ranked our manifesto as the best for pensioners – demonstrating our commitment to Scotland’s older people.
“If re-elected the SNP will invest £500m more than inflation in Scotland’s NHS, the highest NHS investment offer by any party in this election, including establishing a network of elective treatment centres to ensure the NHS can cope with the demands of an aging population.
“We’ll also increase Carers Allowance to be in line with Jobseekers Allowance and allow flexibility in the delivery of Winter Fuel Payments to support those who live off-grid.
“If you want a government that will stand up for pensioners, you should cast both votes SNP to guarantee the re-election of Nicola Sturgeon as First Minister.”
